I could have been more in touch with God today. He might have been able to help me. I seem to have a particular Achilles heel, where I want to buckle down to accomplish something, and I can't do it without something in my mouth to graze on. I think that my God is not only good for aiding me with my problems, but also lifting me up to the next challenge that I want to overcome in life. I want to be able to combine work with no eating. It would be a step up for me. But I need some help. I think a higher power would be something handy in this instance.
We're used to help coming in from elsewhere when we need it or call on it. God doesn't work that way. He is just sitting idly by. It's all up to us. He is not "working" miracles. If we want God to perform a miracle, we have to get him off his duff. He's not just going to do it. Faith without works is dead. And so is faith without work. You have the faith, hopefully. Faith is quite nice. It feels good. But you can't forget the second step. You must put your faith to work. Summon it. Bring it on over. It's palpable. But it's not visible. It's like those movies with ghosts in them. The ghosts are there, but they can't actually do anything. If you're lucky, you can have 2 way conversations with them.
